01

It tastes like somebody finally took dark roast seriously—huge body, zero ashtray finish. Night Current is permanently on our shelf.

02

Red Giant has the balance I can never find: bright enough for a pour-over, sweet enough for a lazy French press. Every bag lands ridiculously fresh.

I bought Ghost Frequency for evenings and now it is the coffee I make for everyone. Nobody believes it is decaf until I show them the bag.

The packaging got me. The precision kept me. Pale Signal is clean, wild, and somehow gets better as it cools.

Why Ash & Orbit

Nothing
goes dark.

We make every choice visible—from the people who grew the coffee to the exact day it met the drum.

01

Farm-led sourcing

Long-term buying relationships and prices built around the real cost of exceptional work.

02

Small-batch only

We roast in deliberately small lots so every batch can be tasted and adjusted.

03

Radical traceability

Origin, producer, altitude, process and harvest details are never hidden behind a blend name.

04

Lighter footprint

Recyclable valves, compostable mailers and fewer layers between the bag and your door.

05

Profile precision

Temperature and airflow are mapped, but every roast is approved by human senses.

06

Fresh means fresh

Orders leave our roastery within forty-eight hours of the roast date. No warehouse limbo.

name. Not lot.

We buy coffee through relationships that can survive a bad harvest and reward a remarkable one. Every bag names the place and process behind the cup.

Coffee needs a short rest after roasting, not a long stay in a warehouse. We pack, date and dispatch while every aromatic detail is still alive.

A brief history · 2018—now

Built afterclosing time.

Two people, one borrowed machine and an unreasonable belief that better coffee should feel more human.

201801
The borrowed roaster

A hundred scorched batches and one worth repeating.

In the back of a Bisbee metal shop, founders Ada Vale and Rowan Moss borrowed a five-kilo drum roaster after hours. The first batch worth drinking became Red Giant.

202002
The desert room

We opened a roastery with six chairs and no menu board.

Guests tasted whatever had left the drum that morning. Questions replaced jargon. The tiny tasting room became a place for curious people, not coffee gatekeepers.

202203
Direct lines

Our first origin partnership changed every decision.

Working directly with producers in Huila taught us to buy for relationships, not lists. Longer commitments gave farmers certainty and gave us better coffee.

202404
Across the map

The strange little bags started traveling nationwide.

Subscriptions let us roast with a rhythm instead of a forecast. Every order still leaves within forty-eight hours of the roast date.

Still looking up

Small crew. Wider orbit. Same uncompromising cup.

We remain independent, hands-on and allergic to shortcuts. The equipment is bigger now. The batches are still approved by taste, not software.
